Recording Skype for Business server 2015 (Lync server 2013)

Skype for Business is Microsoft’s successful unified communications platform, formerly known as Microsoft Lync. Vidicode developed its Call Recording system APRESA to be compatible with Skype for Business Server 2015.

Recording a meeting with Skype for Business is already possible without the immediate need for an external recorder, however for recording one-on-one calls and archiving calls centrally for compliance, training or security reasons you will need a system like APRESA. It is that type of recording and storage that companies need who depend on securing these calls. Calls need to be searched and found in a comprehensive database with encrypted storage. PCI-DSS compliance and MIFID II regulations often have to be fulfilled. The APRESA platform can help with that.

Skype for Business Server often uses a special non-standard audio codec called RT-Audio. This is a problem for regular Call Recording solutions. It forces them to only record the trunk side. Vidicode invested in the technology to decode RT-Audio. If the APRESA is fitted with RT-Audio decoding licenses all internal and external calls can be recorded.

If you need more information about Skype for Business recording please contact the Vidicode sales department, no doubt we can find a fitting solution for your recording need.

The APRESA recording solution is fully compatible with Lync server 2013 and Skype for Business server 2015.
