Vidicode takeover in MBI/MBO

Zoetermeer - Vidicode Datacommunicatie B.V. a growing company active in the business of Voice and Fax Solutions, announces that the company has been taken over in a combined management buy-in and buy-out.

The company takeover is both a testimony of 22 years of steady growth which resulted in the current robust financial situation in combination with a strong market position of the company and the desire of the former director-owner Mr. Eppens to increase his time spending on other issues of life and gradually pull-out of business activities.

The new owners are Mr. Leo Gareman, Mr. Alwin Adolf, Mr. Rob van der Hurk and Mr. Jan Straver. Leo Gareman has been in the company since the beginning and will continue in the function of Head of Sales, i.e. also as the much appreciated and expert point of contact for the majority of our customers. Alwin Adolf has been in the company from the early days as well and will continue in the function of Head of Software Development. Rob van der Hurk has been in the company for 7 years now and continues as Head of Hardware Development and Production. Jan Straver will become Managing Director.

Mr Eppens will stay involved in the company as shareholder. On request of the new management Mr Eppens will remain active in the company during the first half of 2008 to hand over the company in a well controlled manner.

Jan Straver has a substantial history in, and a broad experience with the electronics industry. He holds an Engineering master’s degree and a PhD in Technical-Physics. He left the scientific environment in the early 90’s, where he was involved in several large international scientific projects. Since then he has been Head of Development in a business in Medical Imaging Technology located in Oslo until 1998. Until recently he held a board member position in a Thales Defense Technology company in The Netherlands and was active in the management of Development Projects and Sales.

Jan Straver commented:
The focus on the near-term future will be to continue business as usual, remain in the modus of steady profitable growth and release a number of new products currently under development. For the longer term we will develop a strategy focused on increased operational effectiveness and technological excellence, further expansion of our core-business product gamma and expand in our (niche) market in an accelerated pace to a global presence.

I am excited to join Vidicode with its solid track-record of performance history, its distinguished product lines and capabilities. I look forward to building on the core strengths, to achieve significant value for the customers and employees and to strengthen the growth process.
